The Second National
and “Best Practices” Conference

Join us as we honor and remember the women, men & children murdered in
acts of domestic violence
each year all around the world, at our second national march & conference
in Providence, RI.
Our weekend will start with a Friday night reception at the Westin Hotel Ballroom (look for more info under
Hotel
Information),
hosted by RI Attorney General Patrick Lynch and other national dignitaries.
Saturday morning we'll meet for breakfast at the Providence Westin for an international presentation all about Silent Witness, to celebrate all we've done so far, and award individuals from around the globe. Then, all Silent Witness participants will gather at the capitol park to hear family & friends, community members, national dignitaries & Silent Witness activists talk about the Silent Witness projects they’ve worked with, and honor and remember loved ones. There will be music, food and vendors at the site.
Each state/country will then carry their Silent Witnesses, and we will be led
by mounted police officers,
bagpipers and an honor guard in our candlelight
March to End the Silence through
the streets of Providence.
On Sunday morning at our best practices conference, we'll meet with Janet Hagberg, Executive Director of the Silent Witness Initiative to talk about the domestic violence movement.
States/countries will present best practices about their projects and we'll have the chance to network and connect with others working with Silent Witness. We'll learn more about Results projects, and then close our weekend with a special surprise and celebration.
This event is open to ALL Silent Witness projects & friends throughout the world.

Deadline for submission is October 1st.
